World of Minecraft Named Finalist in Two Major Business Awards

World of Minecraft has officially been named a finalist in both the Local Business Awards and the Small Business Champions Awards, marking a significant milestone for the business and the community it serves.

For a program that began with a simple idea, that Minecraft could be far more than just a game. this recognition represents years of dedication, innovation and belief in the potential of neurodivergent learners.

World of Minecraft was built on the belief by Mrs Minecraft (Noelene Callaghan) that learning should feel meaningful, engaging and safe for every child. Using Minecraft as a powerful educational tool, the program supports students in developing literacy, numeracy, digital skills, social communication and executive functioning, all within an environment where they feel confident and understood.

Being recognised by two prestigious business award programs validates the work that has been happening quietly behind the scenes:

• the countless hours spent designing educational Minecraft worlds

• the one-on-one support given to students

• the deep partnerships formed with families

• the commitment to creating a truly neurodiversity-affirming learning environment.

For many of the students involved, World of Minecraft is more than a class, it is a place where they feel capable and valued.

These awards matter to world of Minecraft as they recognise that our structure learning platforms are innovative and purposeful. They also help us raise awareness for a need to support neurodivergent learners in our community. They also show that our students gain connection, confidence and have a sense of belonging. Seeing them grow socially, academically and emotionally is what continues to drive the program forward.
